Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana Illinoi
S: Wabash River at Lafayette down to Riverton. .Lowland flooding will continue along the Wabash River this week. The crest is below Montezumabut will not reach Vincennes until this weekend. Minor flooding should end by this weekend on the upper Wabashbut is expected to continue into early next week on parts of the middle and lower Wabash. Dry weather is expected into Thursday.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Montezuma.
When: Until Monday, April 13.
Impacts: At 20.0 feet, Park in southern Montezuma begins to flood. Higher bottomlands begin to flood. Water backs up most local tributaries. River water is at the top of some private levees. Lowest county roads begin to flood. Parke CR 75 W begins to flood.
Additional Details: - At 8:45 PM EDT Monday the stage was 20.8 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 PM EDT Monday was 21.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.8 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage Monday, April 13. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
