Aperçu du potentiel d'inondation

Description

Waves of showers and a few thunderstorms are expected tonight through early Friday morning. Where the steadiest rain falls, total rainfall may exceed one inch by daybreak Friday. With elevated soil moisture conditions due to rainfall over the last week, isolated flooding of roadways, creeks, streams, and poor drainage areas may occur tonight into Friday morning. The locally highest threat for flooding will occur where the overlap of steadiest rain and highest soil moisture overlap. Such an area appears to stretch along and just north of the Interstate 88 corridor, but may also extend as far south as Interstate 80. This outlook means that elevated water levels and potential impacts are possible, but not yet certain. Persons should closely monitor forecasts including the possibility of flood watches, warnings, and advisories. No additional outlooks are expected for this event.
