...The National Weather Service in Chicago IL has issued a FloodWarning for the following rivers in Illinois...Illinois River at La Salle affecting Putnam, La Salle and BureauCounties.For the Illinois River (Upper)...including Morris, Ottawa, LaSalle...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Illinois River from Starved Rock Lock and Dam downstreamto the confluence with Big Bureau Creek, including the La Sallegauge.* WHEN...From this evening to early Saturday afternoon.* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, the lower parking lot at Starved RockState Park is inundated east of La Salle. High water levels beginto impact shipping interests along the river.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 11:45 AM CDT Tuesday, the stage was 19.0 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stagethis evening to a crest of 21.5 feet early Thursday morning.It will then fall below flood stage Saturday morning.- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
