Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinoi
S: Fox River at Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater affecting Lake IL, McHenry and Kane Counties. For the Fox River (Illinois)including Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwaterModerate flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Fox River from Johnsburg downstream to Red Gate Road in St. Charles, including the Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater gauge.
When: Until further notice.
Impacts: At 11.5 feet, Residences threatened along Oceola Drive in Algonquin. A few residences threatened along McBridge Street in Elgin. Jayne Street and Beach Drive threatened in Algonquin. River Street threatened in East Dundee. Jerusha Avenue threatened in Elgin. Fox River Trail threatened between East Dundee and Elgin.
Additional Details: - At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 10.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 10.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to 11.3 feet Tuesday evening. - Flood stage is 9.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
