A Flood Watch means water levels above flood stage are possible, but not yet certain, based upon the latest forecasts. Persons along rivers and streams in the watch area should monitor the latest forecasts and be prepared to take action should flooding develop. These forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well as forecast precipitation 24 hours into the future. Changes to the rainfall forecast, or any additional rainfall after 24 hours, may cause changes to these river forecasts. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued by late tonight.

Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Wisconsin Baraboo River At Reedsburg affecting Sauk County. Baraboo River At Rock Springs affecting Sauk County. Baraboo River Near Baraboo affecting Columbia and Sauk Counties.
: The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in WisconsinIllinoi
S: Fox River Lower Near New Munster affecting Lake and Kenosha Counties. Root River Canal At Raymond affecting Racine County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Fox River Lower near New Munster.
When: Until Thursday evening.
Impacts: At 12.0 feet, Water is up to the first floor levels of some homes in the Town of Wheatland and Village of Salem Lakes area along Riverside Drive and Shorewood Drive.
Additional Details: - At 1:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 12.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 1:00 PM CDT Sunday was 12.5 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.6 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Thursday afternoon. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 12.6 feet on 02/22/1997. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
