THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 342 IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ILLINOIS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 30 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS CHRISTIAN DE WITT LOGAN MACON MASON MCLEAN MENARD SANGAMON SHELBY TAZEWELL IN EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS CHAMPAIGN CLARK COLES CUMBERLAND DOUGLAS EDGAR MOULTRIE PIATT VERMILION IN SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS CLAY CRAWFORD EFFINGHAM JASPER LAWRENCE RICHLAND IN WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS CASS FULTON MORGAN SCHUYLER SCOTT THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BEARDSTOWN, BLOOMINGTON, CANTON, CHAMPAIGN, CHARLESTON, CLINTON, DANVILLE, DECATUR, EFFINGHAM, FLORA, GREENUP, HAVANA, JACKSONVILLE, LAWRENCEVILLE, LINCOLN, MARSHALL, MATTOON, MONTICELLO, NEWTON, NORMAL, OLNEY, PARIS, PEKIN, PETERSBURG, ROBINSON, RUSHVILLE, SHELBYVILLE, SPRINGFIELD, SULLIVAN, TAYLORVILLE, TUSCOLA, URBANA, AND WINCHESTER.

Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinoi
S: Illinois River at Peoria affecting Tazewell, Woodford and Peoria Counties. Illinois River near Havana affecting Mason, Cass and Fulton Counties. .The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Illinois River near Havana.
When: Until further notice.
Impacts: At 19.5 feet, Access road to Anderson Lake north campground closed.
Additional Details: - At 10:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 17.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM CDT Wednesday was 17.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.1 feet Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Description

What: South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.
Where: Portions of central, east central, southeast, and west central Illinois.
When: From 1 PM this afternoon to 7 PM CDT this evening.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
