Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana Illinoi
S: Wabash River at Lafayette to Montezumaand. Wabash River at Terre Haute down to Riverton. .Multiple rounds of rainfall have brought lowland flooding to the Wabash River basin. The river is currently cresting at Covington although the crest is not expected to reach the lower Wabash until late this week. No additional precipitation is expected until at least late Thursday.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.
When: Until Tuesday, April 14.
Impacts: At 20.0 feet, Leaverton Park in Palestine and park in Hutsonville begin to flood. Agricultural flooding spreads to higher land. Seep water is noticeable behind levees. Some elevated river cottages are surrounded by water. Several county or township roads east of Lincoln Heritage Trail between Palestine and Hutsonville in Crawford County Illinois are impassable.
Additional Details: - There is no current observed data. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.0 feet Thursday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Monday, April 13. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Impacts: At 20.5 feet, Flooding behind the Honey Creek levee becomes rather extensive. Most low roads are flooded.
