The National Weather Service in Peachtree City GA has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Georgia Etowah River Downstream I-575 at Canton affecting Cherokee County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring.
Where: Etowah River Downstream I-575 at Canton.
When: From this evening until further notice.
Impacts: At 17.0 feet, Flood stage is reached. Minor flooding begins in the woodlands and fields along the river generally east of Canton. This includes the grassy lot behind a pump station off Riverstone Parkway and near the Interstate 575 bridge.
