Critical Fire Weather Conditions Possible Across Inland Portions Of Southeast Ga On Tuesday: The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a Red Flag Warning for low humidity, strong winds and critically dry fuels, which is in effect from noon today to 8 PM EDT this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
Affected Area: In Georgia, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Bacon, Appling and Atkinson.
Timing: During the afternoon hours Tuesday 12 PM to 8 PM.
Winds: Northeast 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Relative Humidity: As low as 23 percent.
Temperatures: Up to 75.
Impacts: Existing or newly ignited wildfires may exhibit erratic fire behavior, spread rapidly and become difficult to contain or suppress.

Action Recommandée

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
