Critical Fire Weather Conditions Possible Across Inland Portions Of Southeast Ga On Tuesday: The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a Fire Weather Watch for a combination of low humidity, gusty winds, and critically dry fuels which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
Affected Area: In Georgia, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Bacon, Appling, Wayne, Atkinson, Pierce, Echols, Clinch and Northern Ware.
Timing: During the afternoon hours Tuesday 12 PM to 8 PM.
Winds: Northeast around 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.
Relative Humidity: As low as 23 percent.
Temperatures: Up to 76.
Impacts: Existing or newly ignited wildfires may exhibit erratic fire behavior, spread rapidly and become difficult to contain or suppress.
