Description

At 314 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Waynesboro, moving northeast at 20 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include North Augusta, Waynesboro, Augusta, Clearwater, Belvedere, Hephzibah, New Ellenton, Jackson, Glendale, South Augusta, Midtown, Summerville, Daniel Field, Augusta Regional Airport, Augusta National Golf Club, McBean, Burnettown, West End Augusta, New Savannah Bluff Lock & Dam Park, and Glenn Hills. This includes the following highway
S: Interstate 20 in Georgia near mile marker 201. Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 0 and 2. Interstate 520 in Georgia between mile markers 4 and 15. Interstate 520 in South Carolina between mile markers 16 and 20.
