What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of Panhandle Florida, including the following counties, Holmes, Jackson, Walton and Washington.
When: Until 1000 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Additional Details: - At 802 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Bonifay, De Funiak Springs, Chipley, Eglin Air Force Base, Union, Liberty, Ponce De Leon, Caryville, Westville, Hickory Hill, Cerrogordo, Gritney, Prosperity, Baker Settlement, Douglass Crossroad, Arrant Settlement, Whitehead Crossroads, Five Points, Argyle and Hulaw. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
