Description

What: For the first Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 34 expected. For the second Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 26 expected.
Where: Coastal Charlotte, Coastal Pasco, and Inland Sarasota Counties.
When: For the first Cold Weather Advisory, from 3 AM to 10 AM EST Monday. For the second Cold Weather Advisory, from 3 AM to 9 AM EST Tuesday.
Impacts: Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Action Recommandée

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.

Description

What: Dangerous rip currents expected.
Where: Pinellas, Coastal Hillsborough, Coastal Manatee, Coastal Sarasota, Coastal Charlotte and Coastal Lee Counties.
When: From Sunday afternoon through Tuesday morning.
Impacts: Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

Action Recommandée

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
