SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 283, PREVIOUSLY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CDT /2 AM MDT/ EARLY THIS MORNING, IS NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM CDT /4 AM MDT/ EARLY THIS MORNING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NORTH DAKOTA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST NORTH DAKOTA BURKE MCKENZIE MOUNTRAIL WILLIAMS THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BOWBELLS, COLUMBUS, LIGNITE, NEW TOWN, PARSHALL, PORTAL, POWERS LAKE, STANLEY, WATFORD CITY, AND WILLISTON.

Description

At 246 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 miles east of Watford City, moving northeast at 35 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Watford City, Keene, Tobacco Garden Bay Recreation Area, Johnsons Corner, White Tail Bay Recreation Area, Charlson and Lewis And Clark State Park.

Action Recommandée

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail.
