The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Southwestern Adams County in northeastern Colorado Western Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado Eastern Denver County in northeastern Colorado Until 415 PM MDT. At 214 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain 4 miles northwest of Buckley SFB, or 8 miles east of Denver. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall of 0.5 to 0.75 is possible in the next hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, gulches, roads, and poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Northwestern Aurora. This includes the following highway
S: Interstate 70 between mile markers 282 and 289. Interstate 225 between mile markers 8 and 12.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.

The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Central Adams County in northeastern Colorado South Central Weld County in northeastern Colorado Until 415 PM MDT. At 334 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Strasburg, or 33 miles east of Denver, moving northeast at 15 mph.
Hazard: Two inch hail.

Impact: People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Hail may accumulate on roadways causing hazardous travel. Locations impacted include Strasburg.
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing dangerous hail. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built structure. Heavy rain is occurring with this storm and may lead to flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 204 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen in 30 minutes. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Eastern Denver, northern Aurora, southeastern Commerce City, Denver International Airport, Buckley SFB and Watkins.

At 336 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 7 miles southeast of Shamrock, or 31 miles south of Fort Morgan, moving northeast at 15 mph.
Hazard: Tornado and golf ball size hail.

Impact: Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include Mainly rural areas of East Central Adams and West Central Washington Counties.
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building away from windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
