THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 293 IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN COLORADO THIS WATCH INCLUDES 7 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST COLORADO BACA BENT CROWLEY KIOWA LAS ANIMAS OTERO PROWERS THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF EADS, LA JUNTA, LAMAR, LAS ANIMAS, OLNEY SPRINGS, ORDWAY, ROCKY FORD, SPRINGFIELD, TRINIDAD, AND WALSH.

Description

The storms which prompted the warning have weakened below severe limits, and no longer pose an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, gusty winds are still possible with these thunderstorms. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM MDT for southeastern Colorado.
