Description

What: Elevated high tides 6.5 to 7 ft will return late this morning, along with surf of 3 to 5 ft with sets to 6 ft.
Where: San Diego County Coastal Areas and Orange County Coastal Areas.
When: Through this afternoon.
Impacts: Minor coastal flooding and beach erosion. Dangerous swimming conditions for inexperienced swimmers.
Additional Details: High tides will fall below 6.5 ft after today's high tide. A long-period south swell will continue today.

A beach hazards statement for minor tidal overflow means that high astronomical tides possibly in combination with above normal surf will likely produce minor flooding of low-lying areas along the beach such as beach parking lots.
