Description
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. Where: A portion of southwest California, including the following county, Los Angeles. When: Until 200 PM PST. Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Additional Details: - At 1252 PM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Long Beach, eastern Malibu, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, Culver City, Hermosa Beach, Venice, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, Rancho Palos Verdes, Encino and Agoura Hills. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Description

What: Southwest winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
Where: A portion of southwest California.
When: Until 9 PM PST this evening.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Action Recommandée

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Description

What: Large breaking waves of 5 to 8 feet with dangerous rip currents.
Where: Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches.
When: Until 10 PM PST Friday.
Impacts: There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

Action Recommandée

Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in such conditions, stay off the rocks.
