Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: West Central Humboldt County in northwestern California Until 400 AM PST Saturday.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated.
Additional Details: - At 947 PM PST, stream gauges and reports indicate minor flooding is occurring in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen today. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional significant rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding includeJacoby Creek, Elk River, Hookton Slough, and other low-lying areas around Humboldt Bay. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
