Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Washington Cedar River At Renton affecting King County. .Dam operations to reduce the flood pool of area dams will increase the flow levels below the dams.
What: Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Cedar River at Renton.
When: Until early Monday morning.
Impacts: At 14.5 feet, the Cedar River will flood areas of Renton including the Renton Airport.
Additional Details: - At 6:15 PM PST Friday the stage was 15.9 feet. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:15 PM PST Friday was 17.3 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to fall below flood stage Sunday evening and continue falling to 12.4 feet Monday afternoon. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Description

Another moderately strong atmospheric river will impact western Washington starting as early as Saturday night and extending into Wednesday. Rain, heavy at times, is likely. The snow level will be 5000 feet rising to 8000 ft during the heaviest rainfall on Monday before dropping to 3000 to 4000 feet Monday night into Tuesday. In addition, soils will still be nearly saturated and rivers elevated or still above flood stage. Expect rising rivers with the potential for flooding. Urban flooding, landslides, and debris flows are also possible throughout this period. Please monitor the latest river forecasts from the National Weather Service for additional information.
