To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments. Description

What: Dangerous rip currents.
Where: Walton, Bay, and West-facing Gulf County Beaches.
When: Through late tonight.
Impacts: Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
Additional Information: Onshore flow will become increasingly brisk today along the Walton, Bay, and West-facing Gulf County beaches, so the rip current risk will increase through the day.

Action Recommandée

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.
