Description

* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, up to one foot ofinundation above ground level expected in low-lying areas nearshorelines and tidal waterways. For the Coastal Flood Watch,one to two feet of inundation above ground level possible inlow- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways.* WHERE...Ocean, Coastal Ocean and Southeastern Burlington.* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 8 PM this eveningto 2 AM EDT Friday. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from Fridayevening through late Friday night.* IMPACTS...At the moderate coastal flood level, widespreadroadway flooding occurs in coastal and bayside communities andalong inland tidal waterways. Many roads become impassable. Somedamage to vulnerable structures may begin to occur.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Increasing onshore flow during the day onFriday combined with the higher astronomical tides will increasethe potential for moderate coastal flooding with the Fridaynight high tide. The Friday night high tide is forecast to havethe highest water levels and greatest impacts with this stretchof coastal flooding, and high tide water levels will lower overthe weekend.
