Description

At 132 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Forked Run State Park to 12 miles south of Rio Grande. Movement was east at 25 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include Parkersburg, Point Pleasant, Gallipolis, Ripley, Pomeroy, Elizabeth, Racine, Coolville, Rutland, Forked Run State Park, Ravenswood, New Haven, Buffalo, Mason, Sandyville, Mineralwells, Kenna, Washington, North Bend State Park, and Tuppers Plains. This includes the following highway
S: Interstate 77 in West Virginia between mile markers 122 and 174. Route 50 in West Virginia between mile markers 13 and 17, and near mile marker 27.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for southeastern Ohio...and central, western and northwestern West Virginia.
