Description

The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Wisconsin Yellow River at Babcock affecting Wood County. .Warm temperatures have melted snowpack and increased river flows. For the Yellow Riverincluding Pittsville, BabcockMinor flooding is forecast. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. The next statement will be issued this evening by 1015 PM CDT.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Yellow River at Babcock.
When: From this morning to Tuesday evening.
Impacts: At 12.0 feet, Flooding is confined mainly to agricultural and wooded lowland and marshes.
Additional Details: - At 6:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 12.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:00 AM CDT Monday was 12.2 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this evening.
