Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Description

Flash Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. However, a Flood Advisory remains in effect for the area until 4 am. Please continue to heed remaining road closures. A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT Thursday for portions of central, east central, and northeast Wisconsin.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Southern Marathon County in central Wisconsin Northern Portage County in central Wisconsin Northern Wood County in central Wisconsin Northwestern Brown County in northeastern Wisconsin Southeastern Menominee County in northeastern Wisconsin Southern Oconto County in northeastern Wisconsin Northern Outagamie County in northeastern Wisconsin Shawano County in northeastern Wisconsin Northern Waupaca County in northeastern Wisconsin
When: Until 400 AM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 102 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Stevens Point, Shawano, Marshfield, Weston, Clintonville, Mosinee, Pulaski, Spencer, Bevent, Wittenberg, Embarrass, Keshena, Navarino Wildlife Area, Legend Lake, Howard, Suamico, Rothschild, Little Suamico and Chase. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
