THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 675 IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN KANSAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 10 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL KANSAS DICKINSON IN EAST CENTRAL KANSAS GEARY LYON MORRIS WABAUNSEE IN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS CLAY CLOUD OTTAWA IN NORTHEAST KANSAS POTTAWATOMIE RILEY THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ABILENE, ALMA, ALTA VISTA, BENNINGTON, CLAY CENTER, CONCORDIA, COUNCIL GROVE, EMPORIA, ESKRIDGE, HARVEYVILLE, HERINGTON, JUNCTION CITY, MANHATTAN, MAPLE HILL, MCFARLAND, MINNEAPOLIS, PAXICO, ST. MARYS, AND WAMEGO.

Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Kansa
S: Republican River at Clay Center affecting Clay County.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Republican River at Clay Center.
When: From Thursday evening to Monday afternoon.
Impacts: At 15.0 feet, Lowland agricultural flooding occurs from U.S. Highway 24 to Milford Lake. At 17.0 feet, Flooding occurs between 16th, 17th, and 18th Roads and between Limestone and Osage Roads.
Additional Details: - At 1:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.2 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening to a crest of 16.7 feet early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early Monday morning. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
