Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana Illinoi
S: Wabash River at Lafayette to Montezumaand. Wabash River at Terre Haute down to Riverton. .Multiple rounds of rainfall have brought lowland flooding to the Wabash River basin. The river is currently cresting at Covington although the crest is not expected to reach the lower Wabash until late this week. No additional precipitation is expected until at least late Thursday.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Terre Haute.
When: Until Sunday, April 12.
Impacts: At 20.5 feet, Flooding behind the Honey Creek levee becomes rather extensive. Most low roads are flooded.
Additional Details: - At 9:30 PM EDT Sunday /8:30 PM CDT Sunday/ the stage was 19.5 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 PM EDT Sunday /8:30 PM CDT Sunday/ was 19.5 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.6 feet early Tuesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 16.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Impacts: At 18.5 feet, High water surrounds elevated river cabins. County roads to these cabins are impassable. Agricultural flooding is in progress. Seep water develops behind levees.
