Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in IndianaIllinoi
S: Wabash River at Covington down to Riverton. .Minor flooding of lowland
S: following widespread one and a half to four inches of rainfall Wednesday and Wednesday nightwill continue on the Wabash River from near Covington down to Riverton. The crest will pass Montezuma tonightand flooding will end at Covington early Saturday.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Covington.
When: Until tomorrow evening.
Impacts: At 17.5 feet, Some low agricultural fields flood. Backyard flood of cottages a short distance north of U.S. Highway 136. High water blocks land access to at least one residence.
Additional Details: - At 9:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 16.9 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 PM EDT Friday was 17.2 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to fall below flood stage tomorrow morning and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
