Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in IndianaIllinoi
S: Wabash River at Covington, Riverton, Terre Haute, Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.
: The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana Wabash River at Montezuma. .Rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 4 inches across much of the area is bringing minor lowland flooding to most of the Wabash River basin. The Wabash should crest at Terre Haute on Saturday. Flooding may redevelop on the upper Wabash or be extended at downriver points by moderate to heavy rainfall that is expected Sunday into Monday which is not included in the current forecasts.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Covington.
When: Until tomorrow evening.
Impacts: At 17.5 feet, Some low agricultural fields flood. Backyard flood of cottages a short distance north of U.S. Highway 136. High water blocks land access to at least one residence.
Additional Details: - At 9:45 AM EDT Friday the stage was 17.1 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 AM EDT Friday was 17.1 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.2 feet this afternoon.
