Description

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Illinoi
S: Rock River near Joslin affecting Rock Island, Whiteside and Henry IL Counties. Rock River at Moline affecting Rock Island and Henry IL Counties. .Additional rainfall from today through Monday night is expected to be considerably lighter than what fell Thursday through Saturday night. This helps provide higher confidence in these river forecasts.

Replaces River Flood Watch:
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Rock River near Joslin.
When: From Monday afternoon to late Wednesday night.
Impacts: At 13.0 feet, Flooding of unprotected agricultural land occurs. Water also affects Lundeens Landing Campground.
Additional Details: - At 8:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 7.3 feet and rising. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage early Monday afternoon to a crest of 13.3 feet Tuesday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday afternoon. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/quadcities. The next statement will be issued by Monday morning.
