Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Iowa Fourmile Creek at Des Moines Easton Blvd affecting Polk County.
What: Moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: The Fourmile Creek at Des Moines Easton Blvd, or from below Interstate 80 to the Des Moines River.
When: Until late this evening.
Impacts: At 12.0 feet, Widespread overflow occurs upstream of Easton Blvd. At 14.0 feet, Widespread flooding occurs along the reaches of the creek primarily upstream from Easton Blvd near the Hubbell overpass. Water affects lowland areas of the community center near Easton Blvd. At 16.0 feet, Water affects businesses and apartments east of E 33rd St near E Douglas AveE Euclid Ave and Hubbell Ave.
Additional Details: - At 4:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 8.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage this morning to a crest of 15.5 feet late this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late this afternoon. - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
