Description

At 522 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Milton, or near Hamlin, moving east at 30 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include Winfield, St. Albans, Hurricane, Milton, Eleanor, Culloden, Tornado, Teays Valley, Alum Creek, and Salt Rock. This includes Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 27 and 42.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for central and western West Virginia.
