Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin Baraboo River Near Baraboo affecting Columbia and Sauk Counties.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Baraboo River near Baraboo.
When: From Monday afternoon to early Thursday morning.
Impacts: At 18.0 feet, If Wisconsin River at Portage up to 17 feet also, water approaches gravel of I-39 off ramp to Cascade Mt Rd. There is widespread flooding of agricultural land.
Additional Details: - At 3:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 14.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 17.6 feet Tuesday evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday evening. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 17.6 feet on 02/27/1985. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
