What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Portions of east central and southeast Virginia, including the following counties and independent city, in east central Virginia, Charles City, King and Queen and New Kent. In southeast Virginia, City of Williamsburg, Gloucester, James City and York.
When: Until 900 PM EDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 600 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in the last hour and a half. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2.5 inches are expected over the area through 730 PM. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Williamsburg, Charles City, Gloucester Courthouse, Toano, Norge, College Of William And Mary, Queens Lake, Gloucester Point, Barhamsville, Holdcroft, Kings Point, York Terrace, Rustic, Carver Gardens, Ruthville, Glenns, Wicomico, Adkins Store, Croaker and Lightfoot. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
