THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 196 IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 19 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL TEXAS BELL BOSQUE COMANCHE CORYELL HAMILTON HILL LAMPASAS MCLENNAN MILLS IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS EASTLAND ERATH HOOD JACK JOHNSON PALO PINTO PARKER SOMERVELL STEPHENS YOUNG THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BRECKENRIDGE, BRIAR, BURLESON, CISCO, CLEBURNE, CLIFTON, COMANCHE, COPPERAS COVE, DE LEON, DUBLIN, EASTLAND, FORT HOOD, GATESVILLE, GLEN ROSE, GOLDTHWAITE, GORMAN, GRAHAM, GRANBURY, HAMILTON, HICO, HILLSBORO, JACKSBORO, KILLEEN, LAMPASAS, MERIDIAN, MINERAL WELLS, OAK TRAIL SHORES, OLNEY, RANGER, STEPHENVILLE, TEMPLE, VALLEY MILLS, WACO, AND WEATHERFORD.

At 529 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest of Hico, or 12 miles north of Hamilton, moving southeast at 20 mph.
Hazard: Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
