What: Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Coleman, Concho, McCulloch and Menard.
When: Until 900 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 654 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms across southern Coleman, eastern Concho and much of Concho Counties. This rainfall was moving southeast into Brady. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Brady, Eden, Melvin, Pear Valley, Salt Gap, Lohn, Doole, Brady Lake, Waldrip, Stacy, Millersview, Rockwood, Calf Creek, Gouldbusk, Rochelle, Leaday, Ivie Reservoir Near Concho Park Marina, Voss, Placid and Camp San Saba. - This includes the following Low Water Crossing
S: South Blackburn between Adkins and 13th, White Street at Live Oak Creek, South High between 14th and 15th Streets, FM 1851 crossing Tiger Creek, County Road 120 crossing East Cow Creek, 17th Street between Pine and College, FM 1121 crossing Onion Creek, FM 0503 crossing Waloope Creek, FM 1028 crossing Corn Creek and Hallum Draw. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
