The National Weather Service in Nashville has extended the Flash Flood Warning for Davidson County in middle Tennessee South Central Robertson County in middle Tennessee Northwestern Rutherford County in middle Tennessee Southern Sumner County in middle Tennessee Northwestern Wilson County in middle Tennessee Until 800 PM CDT. At 628 PM CDT, Previous thunderstorms caused heavy rain across the area. Heaviest rainfall has past, but water levels remain elevated.
Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Gallatin, Lebanon, Nashville, Madison, Hendersonville, Smyrna, La Vergne, Mount Juliet, Goodlettsville, Millersville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Coopertown, Belle Meade, Lakewood, Ridgetop, Hermitage, Old Hickory, Rural Hill and Antioch.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
