The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Pushmataha County in southeastern Oklahoma South central Pittsburg County in southeastern Oklahoma Until 615 PM CDT. At 533 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southeast of Blanco, moving southeast at 25 mph.
Hazard: Golf ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations in or near the path include Clayton Clayton Lake State Park Stanley Kosoma Dunbar Tuskahoma Eubank

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for southeastern Oklahoma.

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of southeast Oklahoma, including the following counties, Latimer, Le Flore, Pittsburg and Pushmataha.
When: Until 900 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 546 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Mcalester Poteau Wilburton Clayton Heavener Hartshorne Kreb

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
