THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 141 IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN ARKANSAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 6 COUNTIES IN SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS HEMPSTEAD HOWARD LAFAYETTE LITTLE RIVER MILLER SEVIER IN OKLAHOMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 1 COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA MCCURTAIN IN TEXAS THIS WATCH INCLUDES 8 COUNTIES IN NORTHEAST TEXAS BOWIE CAMP CASS FRANKLIN MORRIS RED RIVER TITUS WOOD THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF ASHDOWN, ATLANTA, BOGATA, BRADLEY, BROKEN BOW, CLARKSVILLE, DAINGERFIELD, DE QUEEN, DIERKS, HAWKINS, HOPE, HUGHES SPRINGS, IDABEL, LEWISVILLE, LINDEN, LONE STAR, MINEOLA, MINERAL SPRINGS, MOUNT PLEASANT, MOUNT VERNON, NAPLES, NASHVILLE, OMAHA, PITTSBURG, QUEEN CITY, QUITMAN, STAMPS, TEXARKANA, TEXARKANA, AND WINNSBORO.

Description

At 709 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 30 miles north of Broken Bow to 25 miles north of Manchester, or along a line from 35 miles northwest of De Queen to 40 miles north of Clarksville, moving southeast at 35 mph.
Hazard: Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Mount Herman, Sherwood, Bethel, Battiest, Hochatown, Smithville, Watson, Ringold, Plunketville and Rufe.
