What: Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of northern, central, and west central New Mexico.
When: From this afternoon through this evening.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
Additional Details: - Slow-moving showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall rates in excess of 2 inches per hour Tuesday afternoon and evening. The greatest risk for flash flooding exists in areas that have received recent heavy rainfall, urban drainages, and around wildfire burn scars. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
