The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in New Mexico Pecos River Above Pecos affecting San Miguel County.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Pecos River above Pecos.
When: From this morning to this evening.
Impacts: At 5.0 feet, Fast flowing water may erode banks and approach homes near the river. Private bridges could drive localized flooding as debris accumulates along the upstream sides. Further rises may make bridges unsafe to cross and isolate residents.
Additional Details: - At 7:00 AM MDT Wednesday the stage was 4.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 5.1 feet this afternoon.
