What: Flooding of area roadways, draws, creeks, arroyos, and streams caused by excessive rainfall from last night.
Where: Eddy County in southeastern New Mexico
When: Until 215 PM MDT.
Impacts: Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.
Additional Details: - At 819 AM MDT, trained weather spotters relayed reports of ongoing flooding and road closures from overnight heavy rainfall. Some roads that were reported to be closed due to flooding include Lake Rd, Bolton Rd at Richie and U.S. 82, Fanning Rd at LWC, Eagle Draw at Bolton Rd, Dark Canyon Rd, West Bypass, Radio Blvd. and Boyd. - Residual flooding will continue for several more hours until waters recede across roadways across Eddy County. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Do not attempt to cross barricaded roads.
