Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. Additional information is available at water.noaa.gov. The next statement will be issued this evening at 1000 PM CDT.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in NebraskaIowa Salt Creek Near Ashland affecting Saunders County. Salt Creek At Greenwood affecting Cass County. Big Blue River Near Barneston affecting Gage County. West Nishnabotna River At Hancock affecting Pottawattamie County. West Nishnabotna River At Randolph affecting Mills and Fremont Counties.
: The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Nebraska Lincoln Creek Near Seward affecting Seward County. Big Blue River Near Crete affecting Saline County. Big Blue River At Beatrice affecting Gage County. West Fork Big Blue River Near Dorchester affecting Seward and Saline Counties. Turkey Creek near De Witt affecting Gage and Saline Counties. Turkey Creek Near Wilber affecting Saline County. Little Blue River Near Fairbury affecting Jefferson County.
: The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in Nebraska Wahoo Creek At Wahoo affecting Saunders County.
What: Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Lincoln Creek near Seward.
When: Until Saturday morning.
Impacts: At 17.0 feet, Continuous flooding continues across the lowlands with some county roads inundated by flood waters. Access to the gage from the east floods.
Additional Details: - At 7:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 17.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 PM CDT Thursday was 17.3 feet. - ForecastThe river will rise to 17.4 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 5.1 feet Saturday evening. It will rise to 6.6 feet Monday evening. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 17.4 feet on 03/14/1979. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
