Description

What: Snow accumulations from yesterday and last night will remain in place. This afternoon's sunshine but below freezing temperatures could lead to icy conditions.
Where: All of eastern North Carolina.
When: Until 11 AM EST Monday.
Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

What: For the Coastal Flood Advisory, 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 5 to 11 feet in the surf zone.
Where: Northern Outer Banks and Hatteras Island.
When: For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until midnight EST tonight. For the High Surf Advisory, until 7 AM EST Monday.
Impacts: Flooding of lots, parks, and roads with only isolated road closures expected. Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion.

Action Recommandée

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions.
