What: Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values between 95 and 108 degrees. The worst of this heat is expected to be Thursday and Fridaybut regardless this will be a prolonged and dangerous heatwave.
Where: The Berkshires as well as the south coasts of both Massachusetts and Rhode Island excluding the Cape and Islands.
When: From Wednesday morning through Saturday evening.
Impacts: Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.
Additional Details: This will be a prolonged and dangerous heatwave!

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles.
