The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northern Vernon Parish in west central Louisiana Northeastern Newton County in southeastern Texa
S: Until 945 PM CDT. At 847 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Burr Ferry, or 9 miles southeast of Toledo Bend Dam, moving northeast at 40 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.

Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Leesville, Anacoco, Slagle, Fort Polk, New Llano, Hornbeck, Kurthwood, Hutton, Burr Ferry, Simpson, Evans, and Pickering.
