The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a Flood Warning for the following river in Kansa
S: Republican River at Clay Center affecting Clay County.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Republican River at Clay Center.
When: From Thursday afternoon to Sunday morning.
Impacts: At 15.0 feet, Lowland agricultural flooding occurs from U.S. Highway 24 to Milford Lake. At 17.0 feet, Flooding occurs between 16th, 17th, and 18th Roads and between Limestone and Osage Roads.
Additional Details: - At 9:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 9.4 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 16.4 feet Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
