The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana East Fork White River at Shoals. .Multiple rounds of rainfall this past week have brought widespread minor lowland river flooding to central and southern Indiana. Dry weather is expected through Tuesday night, followed by light precipitation Wednesday. The crest on the White River on Monday was near Hazleton, and on the East Fork White River the crest was just past Bedford.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: East Fork White River at Shoals.
When: From this evening to late Wednesday morning.
Impacts: At 20.0 feet, Significant flooding of agricultural lands begins. Livestock in low bottoms must be moved to higher ground. Cemetery Road, East River Road, and SR 550 near Hindostan Church, and SR 257 south of Washington begins to flood. Water on Dubois CR 725 North in March 2011. Water receded from SR 550 during March 2011 on the south side of the river in the Loogootee area.
