What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of central, east central, and west central Illinois, including the following counties, in central Illinois, De Witt, Marshall, McLean, Peoria, Piatt, Stark, Tazewell and Woodford. In east central Illinois, Champaign and Vermilion. In west central Illinois, Fulton and Knox.
When: Until 10 AM CDT this morning.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Additional Details: - Heavy rain has fallen across portions of central Illinois over the past few days, including a streak of 3 to 7 inches, locally higher, that fell over the past 24 hours from Canton to Bloomington to Danville. Showers and thunderstorms will produce an additional 1 to 3 inches of rain into the morning across portions of central Illinois. Saturated grounds will lead to rapid runoff from any additional rainfall. Flash flooding and rapid rises on area rivers and streams are possible. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
