The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa North Skunk River near Sigourney affecting Keokuk County. Skunk River at Augusta affecting Des Moines, Henry IA and Lee Counties.
What: Moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Skunk River at Augusta.
When: From late Thursday night until further notice.
Impacts: At 19.0 feet, Water affects driveways and gravel access roads in Augusta.
Additional Details: - At 9:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 8.9 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage Friday morning and continue rising to a crest of 19.9 feet Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
